A PPC agency runs paid search advertising, mainly Google Ads and Microsoft Ads, on a business’s behalf, and the best one for a UK business depends mostly on budget. Published fees start at £185 a month for accounts spending up to £500 (The PPC People), while at the other end Brainlabs reports managing more than $1.5 billion in media spend. Eight UK agencies are compared below on fees, minimums, Google Partner status checked in Google’s own directory, and published results.

Last updated: October 2026. Every agency website and Google Partners listing below was checked on 6 October 2026.

Disclosure

ClickGuardian publishes this list and ClickGuardian is not an agency. We make click fraud protection software, which means we do not compete with anybody named below and we cannot run your Google Ads for you. No agency paid or asked to be included, no agency was told it would appear, and there are no affiliate arrangements behind any link on this page. Several of these agencies are the kind of business that runs tools like ours for clients, and one of them, Circus PPC, publishes that it works with Lunio, a click fraud tool that competes with ClickGuardian. It is included on the same criteria as everyone else. ClickGuardian also runs a partner programme for agencies, and being listed does not depend on it: no agency has to join to be listed, or to stay listed.

Of the ten organic results Google UK showed for “best PPC agency UK” in early October 2026, three were agency lists, and all three were published by agencies that include themselves, two of them at number one. This list has no such conflict.

Every agency was checked on 6 October 2026 against its own website, Companies House and Google’s directory. Descriptions reflect what each agency publishes about itself, not our opinion of its work, and we have not audited anybody’s results. Ordering runs from agencies built for the smallest budgets to the largest, based on published fees, minimums and headcount, and is not a quality ranking.

How we selected these agencies

Six criteria, applied to every agency we reviewed:

  1. A UK company with a published address, checked at Companies House.
  2. Paid search as a core service, with its own page rather than a line on a services list.
  3. Named clients or case studies with figures, published on the agency’s own website.
  4. Google status checked in the Google Partners directory, not taken from the badge on the agency’s site. Partner status is a floor, not a recommendation.
  5. A clean live site: no spam content, no unsourced case figures, no recycled testimonials. Where an agency’s own pages give conflicting figures for the same thing, we left those figures out.
  6. No commercial or ownership link to ClickGuardian.

We reviewed 16 UK agencies. Five were excluded, for a Google status the directory could not confirm, for case study or testimonial integrity, for trading under a since-retired brand, or for not offering paid search as a standalone service. Three more passed and were left out only to keep the list to eight.

Google status is the most quoted and least checked credential in this market. Google’s requirements for Partner status are a minimum optimisation score of 70%, a 90-day ad spend of $10,000 USD across managed accounts, and at least half of the agency’s account strategists certified in Google Ads. Premier Partners must meet the same requirements and be in “the top 3% of participating companies within a given country”, determined annually. Because Premier is reassessed every year, a badge on a website can lag the directory for honest reasons. On 6 October 2026, four of the 16 agencies we reviewed showed a Google status on their own site that the directory did not match, including Premier badges on agencies the directory now lists as Partner, and a Partner claim from an agency that is not in the directory at all. Each entry below states what the directory showed, not what the badge says.

The 8 UK PPC agencies

1. The PPC People

Website: theppcpeople.co.uk (Google Ads page)

The PPC People is a Colchester Google Ads specialist for small and medium-sized businesses, working across Google and Microsoft’s search networks, and part of the WDL Group. It is the only agency here publishing fixed management fees, with the ad budget paid directly to Google or Microsoft on top:

PlanMonthly feeMonthly ad budget
Starter£185Up to £500
Professional£250£500 to £1,500
Enterprise£500£1,500 to £5,000
UnlimitedPrice on applicationOver £5,000

It says it does not tie clients into long-term contracts, and it also sells white-label PPC to other agencies. Its Auto Recode case study reports conversions rising from 60 to 140, and cost per conversion falling from £7.49 to £3.47, between November 2023 and November 2024. Google’s directory listed it as a Google Partner on 6 October. Based at Middleborough House in Colchester, with 15 named staff (company number 13554532).

Best suited to: small businesses spending up to £5,000 a month on ads that want a fixed, predictable fee.

2. ClickBoost

Website: clickboost.co.uk (PPC page)

ClickBoost is a Glasgow paid media specialist running Google, Meta, TikTok, Microsoft and ChatGPT Ads alongside ad creative, with 15 named staff. Google’s directory listed it as a Google Partner on 6 October, and it also publishes Meta Business Partner status. Its Run4it case study is headed “From £727k to £9M Sales in 4 Years” and reports an “11 ROAS on Google Ads”. It publishes no fees or contract terms. Instead, it sorts prospects by turnover: startups working towards their first £1 million “might be a fit”, while scale-ups turning over more than £1 million a year are a “perfect fit”. Based at The Social Hub, 15 Candleriggs, Glasgow (company number SC603139).

Best suited to: scale-ups turning over more than £1 million a year, which it describes as its best fit.

3. PPC Geeks

Website: ppcgeeks.co.uk (UK PPC agency page)

PPC Geeks says it specialises “exclusively in PPC management”, and Google’s directory listed it as a 2026 Premier Partner on 6 October (agency ID 2345308136). Its site shows the badge without a directory link. It publishes no fees and says its clients “are free to leave at any time”. Its blog carries more on click fraud than any other agency here, including a 2026 guide to AI-powered click fraud. It reports managing £1.5 million of ad spend a month across more than 150 clients, with 13 people on its team page. Published cases include The Accountancy People, with lead volume up 203 per cent, and Just Go, with cost per acquisition down 40.76 per cent in the first 30 days. Offices in Liverpool, Knutsford, London and Kendal (company number 11506925).

Best suited to: UK SMEs, which is how it describes its clients, wanting a PPC-only agency with no minimum term.

4. Circus PPC

Website: circusppc.com (Google Ads page, Microsoft Advertising page)

Circus PPC is a Leeds paid media specialist with a London office, covering Google, Microsoft, Meta, Amazon and ChatGPT Ads, with 20 team profiles. Google’s directory listed it as a 2026 Premier Partner on 6 October (agency ID 9720965392). Its FAQ publishes its terms: contracts begin at six months with a 90-day notice clause, and the management fee is calculated from monthly ad spend. Its furniture.co.uk case study reports revenue up 47 per cent year on year between April and June 2025. It won PPC Agency of the Year at the UK Digital Growth Awards 2023. Its guide to invalid traffic says it partners with Lunio, and that “Lunio helped to save an average of 9% of total ad spend” across the clients it protects (company number 07944709).

Best suited to: what it calls “ambitious brands”, comfortable with a six-month commitment and a fee tied to spend.

5. Bind Media

Website: bind.media (paid search page)

Bind Media is a PPC-led performance agency in Bath, describing “deep expertise across paid media, performance creative, and measurement”, with 31 team profiles on its site and Certified B Corp status. Google’s directory listed it as a 2026 Premier Partner on 6 October (agency ID 3886060425), and it also publishes Microsoft Advertising Select Partner status. Its Pet Drugs Online case study reports an 81 per cent increase in revenue and a 50 per cent increase in return on ad spend. It publishes no fees, minimum budget or contract term. Its guide to invalid clicks leans on Google’s own protection: “You don’t get charged for invalid clicks,” it says, while noting that “Rarely, though, an invalid click might slip through the net.” Based at 33 Oldfield Road, Bath (company number 11364140).

Best suited to: growing brands that want paid search, creative and measurement from one PPC-led team.

6. Impression

Website: impressiondigital.com (PPC page)

Impression describes itself as a “120+ strong, multi-award-winning performance marketing agency”, with paid media one of its core divisions. Its Google credential is easy to check: the Google partner page on its site links straight to its live directory listing (partner ID 6144590882), which showed 2026 Premier Partner status on 6 October. It also publishes Microsoft Advertising Select Partner status for 2025, a Meta partnership linked to Meta’s own directory, and B Corp certification. Named PPC clients include Topps Tiles, for work it says earned its PPC team a silver award, and Cancer Research UK, which gives a testimonial on its PPC page. It lists PPC Agency of the Year wins at the Global Agency Awards in 2024 and 2025. Offices in Nottingham, London, Manchester and New York (company number 08284662).

Best suited to: what it calls “market challengers and leaders” wanting paid search inside a larger performance team.

7. Croud

Website: croud.com (paid search page)

Croud describes itself as “an independent global media, creative, and data agency” that has “grown from a search performance agency”. Its own timeline says that in 2011 a former head of search, Ben Knight, and an ex-Googler, Luke Smith, “launched their UK agency”. The site shows no Google badge at all, yet Google’s directory listed Croud as a 2026 Premier Partner on 6 October (agency ID 3408634876), the reverse of the usual gap. It reports “600+ Digital experts in the Croud Group”. Its IWG case study reports a 55 per cent increase in enquiries and a 15 per cent lower cost per enquiry, rolled out across 110 markets. It was Campaign Global’s Independent Media Agency of the Year 2025. Offices in London and Shrewsbury, plus New York, Atlanta and Dubai (company number 07542498, Croud Inc Ltd).

Best suited to: multi-market brands that need search run consistently across countries, rather than SMEs.

8. Brainlabs

Website: brainlabsdigital.com (paid search page)

Brainlabs describes itself as “a full-service media agency”, with paid search one of its services. It was founded in 2012 by Dan Gilbert after he left Google, and reports “1,000+ Brainlabbers across 5 continents” and “$1.5B+ in media spend managed”. Google’s directory listed it as a 2026 Premier Partner on 6 October (agency ID 8808300098). Its Howdens case study credits paid search with a 26 per cent reduction in cost per acquisition and a 6 per cent lift in leads. It won Best Large PPC Agency at the European Search Awards in 2016. Headquartered at White Collar Factory in London, with 12 offices abroad (company number 07903451, Brain Labs Digital Ltd).

Best suited to: enterprise advertisers with large, multi-channel budgets.

Some sectors have their own auctions, feeds and sales cycles. We publish the same comparison for seven of them:

Agencies outsourcing delivery rather than hiring an agency can compare fulfilment providers’ published prices in our guide to white label PPC.

What to ask a PPC agency before signing

Six questions that tell you more than any badge.

  1. Can you send me your Google Partners directory link? It takes ten seconds to check, and four of the 16 agencies we reviewed showed a status on their site that the directory did not match. Impression’s own site links straight to its live listing, which is the standard to ask for.
  2. Do you charge a flat fee or a percentage of ad spend, and what are the minimum term and notice period? Circus PPC publishes six-month contracts with a 90-day notice clause and fees calculated on spend, The PPC People publishes fixed fees with no long-term tie-in, and PPC Geeks says clients can leave at any time.
  3. Who owns the Google Ads account if we part ways? It should be you, in your own billing, with the agency granted access. Years of conversion history are hard to rebuild if the account leaves with the agency.
  4. How do you report invalid clicks, and what do you do about them? Across the accounts ClickGuardian tracks, about 29 per cent of paid clicks are invalid, so an agency that reports nothing on this is not reporting the whole account.
  5. What does a monthly report include, and who writes it? Ask for a real, anonymised example showing cost per lead or sale, the search terms that spent without converting, and a named account owner.
  6. Which of your published case studies is closest to my budget? A 55 per cent rise in enquiries across 110 markets tells a £1,500-a-month advertiser very little.

On question 4, the published picture is narrower than it first looks. None of the eight mentions invalid clicks or click fraud on its PPC service pages. Three publish dedicated material elsewhere on their sites: Circus PPC reports measured savings through its Lunio partnership, PPC Geeks runs a series of click fraud guides on its blog, and Bind Media’s guide leans on Google’s own refunds. We searched every page in each agency’s sitemap on 6 October 2026. Google does credit a share of invalid clicks, but only the share it identifies, which is why our explainer on what click fraud is treats Google’s filter as a starting point rather than the whole answer.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a PPC agency cost in the UK?

Few agencies publish prices. The PPC People charges fixed fees of £185 to £500 a month for ad budgets up to £5,000, with larger accounts priced on application. At the ecommerce end, Imaginaire, covered in our best ecommerce PPC agencies UK, publishes retainers of £3,000 to £5,000 a month for its Core tier and £5,000 to £10,000 for Scale, excluding VAT. The rest quote on request, as a retainer or a percentage of ad spend.

What is the difference between a Google Partner and a Premier Partner?

Both are statuses in Google’s Partners programme. A Partner meets Google’s thresholds on optimisation score (70%), managed ad spend ($10,000 USD over 90 days) and staff certification. A Premier Partner also ranks in the top 3% of participating companies in its country, reassessed every year. Neither status measures the results an agency gets for clients, and either can be checked in Google’s directory in seconds.

Is a percentage of ad spend or a flat fee better?

A flat fee separates the agency’s income from your spend, so advice to cut a wasteful campaign costs the agency nothing. A percentage scales the fee with the work as an account grows, but the agency earns more when you spend more, profitable or not. On a £10,000 monthly budget, a 15 per cent fee is £1,500, so compare the two models in pounds, not percentages. A steady budget usually suits a flat fee; a highly seasonal one can suit a percentage.

Do PPC agencies protect against click fraud?

None of these eight mentions it on its PPC service pages. Circus PPC is the only one publishing measured results, saying its Lunio partnership saved an average of 9 per cent of ad spend across protected clients. Google credits the invalid clicks it identifies, not the ones it misses, so ask any agency what share of your clicks it judges invalid each month and what it does about them.

Is ClickGuardian a PPC agency?

No. ClickGuardian is a click fraud protection tool for Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising, starting at $49 a month with a 7-day free trial. We do not manage campaigns and we do not take a percentage of spend. Businesses run click fraud protection alongside whichever agency manages their account, and agencies run it across their client books through our partner programme.

If an agency runs your Google Ads, ClickGuardian adds the layer most agency service pages leave out: click fraud protection that scores every paid click and excludes the worst sources automatically on Google Ads. Start a free 7-day trial and see what share of your paid clicks are invalid.
